You can include BHCHP in your will or trust by giving a specific dollar amount or percentage of your estate or by leaving a specific asset—stocks, mutual funds, real estate, or other property. It’s never too soon to create a will or trust. Even if you have an existing will or trust, you can add an amendment or codicil at any time. This can be an inexpensive and easy way to make a bequest to our program.

Residual Bequest Language

A residual bequest comes to us after your estate expenses and specific bequests are paid. The following language may be used:

I give and bequeath to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts, all, (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific purpose or fund).

Specific Bequest Language

You can also name our program as a beneficiary of a specific amount from your estate. The following language may be used:

I give and bequeath to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Inc. of Boston, Massachusetts, the sum of $ _______(or “ ______ shares of ______ stock”) to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific purpose or fund).
