Designating Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program as a beneficiary of a retirement plan, donor advised fund, brokerage account, or life insurance policy is one of the easiest ways to support our program.

Naming BHCHP as a full, partial, or contingent beneficiary of a retirement plan such as an IRA, Roth IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) plan is an easy way to make a legacy gift. As retirement plans are subject to income taxes when given to individual heirs, directing all or some of such plans to BHCHP, which is not obligated to pay income taxes, is a tax efficient way to support our program and we receive the full amount of your gift.

You can also name BHCHP as a beneficiary of the following:

· Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

· Bank account

· Brokerage account

· Life Insurance policy

How to make the designation

· Contact the administrator of your retirement plan, life insurance policy, or other plan/account and request a beneficiary designation form.

· If you have a specific restriction you would like to place on your gift, please contact our office so we can help you determine the best wording.

If you have already named BHCHP as the beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance policy or other account, please let us know and you will be invited to join the Dennis Buff Legacy Society. Please contact Mary Perry, Director of Major Gifts, at mperry@bhchp.org or 857-654-1048.
