It’s holiday time in Dover and Sherborn
100 care kits will be donated to the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program for its clientele. Care Kits will include scarves, hats, gloves, socks, snacks and personal care products. Volunteers will then create a handwritten holiday card to be included in each Care Kit.
On Friday, Dec. 7, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 18 Springdale Ave., Dover, will present a “Hands On Holiday Outreach Event” as part of its Dover Unplugged series.
This will be an evening of community service, to prepare 325 Care Kits for two organizations supporting the homeless in Boston. This is the perfect opportunity for families (all ages welcome) to do a meaningful service project together during the holiday season. The Care Kits will be assembled in Fellowship Hall.
The Women’s Lunch Place will receive 225 kits for its holiday party, and 100 kits will be donated to the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program for its clientele. Care Kits will include scarves, hats, gloves, socks, snacks and personal care products. Volunteers will then create a handwritten holiday card to be included in each Care Kit. All supplies will be provided by Dover Unplugged.
