The HIV Cascade of Care: Engaging PWID and MSM
HIV diagnosis and linkage to care for people without a diagnosis of HIV, or who are diagnosed but not engaged in care, is a stated objective of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. There are unique challenges and barriers to improving these outcomes in high-risk populations such as men who have sex with men (MSM) and people who inject drugs (PWIDs).
In this issue Dr. Jennifer Brody, Director of HIV Services at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, and ANP Marguerite Beiser, Director of HCV Services at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, review the recent literature specific to HIV diagnosis and linkage for these two high-risk populations.
