Jill S. Roncarati
Volunteer Research Scientist
Postdoctoral Fellow, VA Bedford Healthcare System
Jill S. Roncarati, ScD, MPH, PA-C is a clinician and a health services researcher. She worked for 10 years as a physician assistant as part of the BHCHP Street Team, a fully integrated, multidisciplinary team at BHCHP that cares for rough sleepers, homeless adults who eschew shelters and primarily live outside. Witnessing firsthand the deplorable health outcomes borne by the homeless population lead Dr. Roncarati to seek the research skills necessary to improve health of the homeless population. In addition to being a volunteer researcher at BHCHP, Jill is also a postdoctoral fellow at the VA Bedford Healthcare System in the Center for Healthcare Organization and Implementation Research (CHOIR). Together with mentors and colleagues her goal is to conduct thoughtful research studies to better understand social determinants of health and improve disparities among homeless populations.
