Our 21st annual Sox for Socks campaign was a success! The energy was exhilarating at Fenway Park, as the Red Sox tied their franchise record of 15 win streaks during Sox for Socks, and Red Sox Nation showed up in high spirits to help patients served by BHCHP.
To everyone who stopped by our tables to donate socks or cash, scan QR for online giving, and connect to learn more about our work, you have our heartfelt thanks! Your gift offers a token of health, comfort, and dignity to our patients, and we rely on your generosity to fulfill our evergreen need for new, white cotton socks at BHCHP’s 30+ clinical sites.
This year’s campaign was made extra special because Mayor Michelle Wu declared July 22 as Sox for Socks Day! Additionally, we were honored to receive a citation from Councilor Sharon Durkan who hand delivered it to our CEO Dr. Denise De Las Nueces at the campaign kickoff on July 20. We’re deeply grateful to the Mayor and Councilor for celebrating our longstanding partnership with the Boston Red Sox and Red Sox Foundation, which makes it possible for us to host our vital campaign at Fenway.
We also want to acknowledge our other partners, NESN, Gentle Giant, and the Boston Globe, and their valuable contributions to Sox for Socks. It truly is a team effort, and we’re lucky to work with these amazing partners!
Thank you, once again, for another fun and meaningful Sox for Socks. Let’s go, Sox!
