Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Fenway Park this Aug 4-6 for BHCHP’s 17th annual Sox for Socks campaign. We had a great time meeting people at our collection tables, collecting socks and donations, and raising awareness about our work. We’re incredibly grateful to our partners, the Red Sox Foundation, NESN, and Gentle Giant, for their continued support and unwavering commitment to our mission.
For people experiencing homelessness, the need for new socks is critical. Spending hours on their feet as their primary mode of transportation, exposed to the extremes of weather, too often the people served by BHCHP face severe infections and avoidable health complications. Socks are distributed to patients at our more than 30 shelter-based clinics and through the outreach care of our Street Team.
