This year, instead of our usual in-person gala, we’ve transformed Medicine that Matters into a virtual event honoring a very special person: YOU!
Our remarkable BHCHP family has shown up for us for the last 36 years, and you showed us the true meaning of community as our staff braved the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. While our staff worked diligently and expertly to keep our patients safe and healthy by providing exemplary clinical care, working with the Commonwealth, the City of Boston, public policy advocates, and our committed shelter and hospital partners, our generous donors stepped up. You helped us forge ahead to care for each other in this time of need and it’s why we’re thrilled to honor our BHCHP community, as you continue to show up for us. We hope you’ll join us! If you or your company would like to sponsor this event, there are sponsorship details here. Included in the sponsorship packet are descriptions about higher ticket levels.
We are excited to share that Latoyia Edwards, NBC10 Boston News Anchor and host of This is New England will be our emcee for the evening. We are also thrilled to share that United States Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Boston Mayor Kim Janey are the dynamic speakers we've lined up for the evening.
If you purchase a swag bag, note that all the contents are goodies from local businesses around Boston: Ajiri Tea, Olives and Grace, Colletey's Cookies, Prosperity Candle, Carlisle Honey, and Chocolate Therapy.
Entertainment for the evening will include perfomances from: Alex Ortiz, The Boston Gay Men's Chorus, and the Boston Children's Chorus.
When: Wednesday, May 26, 2021 @ 7pm EST
Where: You can join from anywhere with any device that connects to the internet, but the event takes place on a platform called Crowdcast.
Tickets for this event are no longer available. Please contact Amanda McKenney at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
