Per Diem Registered Nurse
This position provides all nursing related activities in association with primary care clinical operations including direct care and nursing case management activities, immunization and screening.
• Provides all nursing related activities in association with primary care/urgent care clinical operations at BHCHP primary clinic settings: including direct care and nursing care management activities, immunization and screenings. • Provide triage and nursing assessment of walk-in and scheduled patients as directed by the Clinic Director. • Assist in procedures for clinical operations. • Provide quality monitoring as directed through record keeping and patient health indicator analysis/ • Facilitate prescription refills. • Supervise clerical staff, secretarial and medical staff as advised by Clinical Manager. • Assist in provider access to primary and episodic care to patients from outreach sites. • Provide access and patient care with BHCHP nurse liaisons. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed to meet program needs, at the discretion of the Clinic Director.
Basic Knowledge/Skills: • Strong medical/surgical assessment skills. • Interest in public health, primary and preventive nursing/medicine. • Interest in working with disadvantaged groups. • Understanding of substance abuse and behavioral health issues. Education and Experience: • Licensed as RN in Commonwealth of Massachusetts • 1 - 2 years experience required • Previous community health center or primary care experience Physical Requirements Demonstrated interest in working with an underserved population
