My BHCHP teammates inspire and motivate me

One of the most unique aspects of working at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, according to Paulita, a special events manager on our Development team, is the solitary focus shared throughout the program…. from role to role, and team to team, we have a single purpose.
“Everyone is committed to our patients,” she said. “It’s a dedication you see from all our colleagues. It’s inspiring and it motivates you.”
Paulita, who joined BHCHP in May 2022, has been in event planning for more than two decades. Her current job, however, is unlike any other she’s had.
“I love doing events, and being able to do them for BHCHP gives me the opportunity to bring something to life that has a direct impact on the local community and a vulnerable population that often goes unseen,” she said. “To be able to support this team, raise funds for the program and impact the patients’ lives in the way we do… it brings me joy and it’s an amazing experience.”
She adds, “I also believe I have such a special role because I have this opportunity to interact with our patients, as well as our supporters. Not everyone has the chance to have a connection with the people who receive our services and the supporters who help sustain them. It’s a full-circle experience and very fulfilling.”
