Giving the Homeless a Sense of Dignity

Socks. Such a simple wardrobe staple. But for Boston’s homeless population, a fresh pair represents “respect and dignity,” says Catherine Minahan of Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP).

Winchester Savings Bank contributes to BHCHP’s annual Sox for Socks drive every year during the baseball season, providing new socks to the program’s homeless clients, helping to ward off infection.

“Our patients are on their feet all day, every day,” says Minahan.
