Volunteer

Volunteers play a critical role at BHCHP. They help out in countless ways, including:

  • Offering recreational activities at our in-patient respite care facility

  • Engaging patients in caring conversations
  • Organizing fundraising events
  • Helping out in our clinics

Internships

We offer a limited number of unpaid internships throughout the year.  These can be terrific opportunities to learn more about health care and homelessness, while contributing your skills and time.

Spring 2010 Internships

BHCHP will likely be able to accommodate 5-10 spring 2010 interns.  Applications must be received by December 4, 2009 in order to be considered.

AmeriCorps

Individuals interested in committing to a year of national service should consider an AmeriCorps position with the Community HealthCorps.  BHCHP is host to a small program in which members fill roles that focus on increasing access to health care for our patients.

This program is ideal for individuals planning to pursue further education and/or a career in medicine, health care, public health, or policy.  Each year applications are reviewed in May and June for the program year beginning in September.  For more information visit www.americorps.org.  Please note: We are no longer accepting applications for 2009-2010 program year.
