Internships

We offer a limited number of unpaid internships throughout the year.  These can be terrific opportunities to learn more about health care and homelessness, while contributing your skills and time.

Summer 2010 Internships

BHCHP will likely be able to accommodate 5-10 summer 2010 interns.  Applications must be received by Friday, March 5, 2010 in order to be considered.  If your experiences, skills and availability match our needs, you will be invited to schedule an interview during the week of April 12-16.

AmeriCorps/Community HealthCorps

Individuals interested in committing to a year of national service in a health care setting should consider an AmeriCorps position with the Community HealthCorps.  Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is host to a small program in which members fill roles that focus on increasing access to & utilization of health care for our patients.

This program is ideal for individuals planning to pursue further education and/or a career in medicine, health care, public health, or policy.  Each year applications are reviewed in April & May for the program year beginning in September.  For more information about AmeriCorps and our positions OR to apply, please visit www.americorps.org. Please note: Applications for the 2010-2011 program year are due no later than April 23, 2010. For general information about the Community HealthCorps, please visit www.communityhealthcorps.org.

You’re invited to an Open House!

For those interested in learning more about BHCHP and our AmeriCorps/Community HealthCorps program, you are invited to attend our informational Open House on Tuesday, April 13 at 6pm in the Welch Conference Room at 780 Albany Street in Boston.
