Collect Items to Meet Patient Needs

Each year a network of dedicated supporters collects and donates new and gently used items for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program patients. With declines in government support, our patients depend more than ever on private donations. Current needs include:

  • Gently used jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts and sneakers (adult sizes)
  • Phone cards
  • Gift certificates to Dunkin Donuts and other fast-food restaurants
  • New underwear (adult sizes)
  • Yarn, crochet hooks and knitting needles
  • Toiletries (non-alcohol based, no bars of soap)
  • Backpacks and fanny packs
  • Flip-flops (shower shoes) in adult sizes

For more information about patients needs, or to arrange a drop-off, call 857-654-1048 or email the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@bhchp.org.
